Cardboard City invades Blender Theater

February 22, 2008

Friday night was the big show at the Blender Theater with Men, Women and Children, Head Automatica, Yak Ballz and Generals and Majors. Quite the entourage indeed! Personally, I’ve always followed what Daryl Palumbo was doing. In 1997, Glassjaw’s EP “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” knocked me off my feet. For anyone who’s been paying attention, Cardboard City is the biggest thing he could have done for his fans. The collective features new bands/side projects (a la Mike Patton) that satisfy tastes across the board for dance, electronica, hip-hop and rock with a post HxC flavor. For instance, House of Blow features Daryl himself with Hatebreed front man F. Sean Martin doing hip-hop and synth beats with rock guitars. How awesome is that?! Enjoy the snaps!
