The beehive is a buzzin’ today, as everyone is preparing for the (SOLD OUT!) Norton Records 25th Anniversary All-Star Spectacular, which kicks off next week. If you’d like to hear a preview, check out last night’s episode of Music to Spazz by, with Dave the Spazz on WFMU.
Two of the artists performing are releasing vinyl LP’s that feature my photos in the artwork. Keep your eyes peeled for;
Seminal proto-punk outfit Figures of Light “Drop Dead“, as well as a S/T from top-dog organist “Dave “Baby” Cortez with Lonnie Youngblood and his Bloodhounds” (front cover image: Jacob Blickenstaff). Both of which were produced by Mick Collins (The Dirtbombs.) See you at the Bell House in Brooklyn Next week!

Hey Jackie, congrats on the pics. I’m sure you didn’t intend to, but this post is a little misleading. I don’t think it is clear that the cover of the DBC album was shot by another photographer (myself). The post credits everyone involved but remains ambiguous about the photography, especially as the style and subject matter is similar.
Hey Jacob, yeah let me update that for you! Great work buddy.
